WinSleep Monitor can work together with WinSleep, allowing users to set up remote connections to all their network PCs and keep an eye on the WinSleep statistics from afar. In other words, it is a remote viewer for WinSleep that receives data from computers using WinSleep, allowing the user to check the PC's sleep and awake sessions, and all the other pieces of information WinSleep gathers.
Remote monitoring application that requires prior access authorization
The purpose of WinSleep is to help its users create efficient and energy-friendly sleep and wake schedules, lowering the power when the machine is not in use. WinSleep records the time periods when the PC is aware, hibernating, sleeping, or not running, and enables users to keep the machine awake forcefully.
All the data WinSleep collects can be viewed remotely using WinSleep Monitor, provided the access to the client app is authorized. To put it another way, to use WinSleep Monitor, you must first go to the 'Preferences' window of the client application on the remote PC and enter the name and the IP address of the PC that hosts WinSleep Monitor.
Monitors the PC usage, the sleep journal and the sleep schedules
WinSleep Monitor displays a list of all the client applications it is connected to within its main window, along with the corresponding IP address, the port, as well as the polling time interval, and the amount of sent and received data.
The timeline graph you see in the main window of WinSleep is also available in WinSleep Monitor. As such, users can keep a close eye on the computer usage. Moreover, WinSleep Monitor enables them to explore the sleep journal (which shows the time the PC entered sleep mode and the reason it woke up) and check the sleep schedules.
WinSleep Monitor requests data from each client at a specific time interval, updating the timeline graphs accordingly, so users always get up-to-date information as long as the remote connection stays active.
Gets users informed about all the data WinSleep gathers
WinSleep Monitor is, in fact, the remote viewer component of WinSleep, providing information about the target computer's sleep sessions. One should keep in mind that it is solely a data viewer, as it does not feature options to modify the sleep schedules remotely.

With WinSleep Monitor, you can monitor computer usage from another computer running WinSleep Monitor software. WinSleep Monitor will ask the computer to periodically provide information about its PC usage, including how long the PC was in sleep, and for how long the user was not logged in to it. This remote monitoring application requests information about the following:
1. PC usage. How long the PC was in sleep, as well as for how long the user was logged in to it. The data presented are updated as often as the IP address allows for.
2. Sleep journal. How long the PC was in sleep.
3. Sleep schedule. The sleep schedule details – when the computer is to be in sleep mode and when it wakes up.
This monitoring tool allows users to check the power of their PC and makes it possible for them to make sure their PC does not go into sleep mode when it is not needed, thereby making sure it is less energy-consuming.

Emulate the functionality of Windows Keyword Manager, and provide users with a simple way to capture macros of certain keyboard combinations and run them when needed.
KEYMACRO does not alter the original keyboard shortcuts or the system default shortcuts, so users won’t be affected by the changes.
If you don’t like to use the default keyboard shortcuts, or want to assign them differently, you can simply edit the shortcuts inside the ‘Windows Keyword Manager’ settings dialog.
Keyboard shortcuts that are active when the application starts
You can use KEYMACRO to capture the mouse, keyboard and system menu shortcuts to start certain applications, and run them when needed. The application interface features a simple toolbox to drag&drop the applications that you want to run.
Simply drag&drop a menu entry, such as the ‘Start’ menu in the ‘Start Up’ tab of the ‘Options’ dialog, to the ‘Windows Keyword Manager’ list, to capture the shortcut. Drag&drop a keyboard entry, such as the ‘A’ key to open the file explorer in the ‘Start Up’ tab of the ‘Options’ dialog, to the ‘Windows Keyword Manager’ list to capture the shortcut. And drag&drop a system menu entry, such as ‘Action’, to the ‘Windows Keyword Manager’ list to capture the shortcut.
Once captured, the ‘Start’ menu, the ‘A’ key, and the system menu entry can be selected directly from the ‘Windows Keyword Manager’ toolbar, enabling users to run them at will.
Keyboard shortcuts that can be changed
To capture the keyboard shortcuts, go to the ‘Keyboard’ tab of the ‘Options’ dialog, and specify the key combination, the type of the active application, and the command to run it.
In the ‘Type’ list, the program will take care of the letter case for you. To add a modifier, such as a key or an option, place a ‘+’ symbol in front of the key combination, and type the key’s symbol on the ‘Modifiers’ list. For example, a key combination ‘A+C’ would be equal to ‘A’.
To capture the entire set of keyboard shortcuts, check the ‘System-wide’ checkbox, and specify all the combination of keys you want to capture.
Keyboard shortcuts that can be customized
To capture a specific application’s shortcuts, go to the ‘Application’ tab of the ‘Options’ dialog, and specify the application you

Fits the bill for a free app
I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now. Since I was already using it with WinSleep, I find WinSleep Monitor to be a perfect compliment. It allows me to keep track of what my Windows 7 PC is doing when I’m not around. It also shows me, at a glance, what apps are running and how much data is being transferred. This is very useful for a PC that is always on – I can easily determine what has to be done, and how long I’ll be asleep. This is very handy for those of us who don’t have any control over other people’s computer activity.
Low price, good features.
Works as intended. Works with WinSleep. Has plenty of features.

I think I need to install an application to my work pc to get my IT support to see what is going on in the background and my work pc to allow me to see it. I don’t know what this is called or if it is even the right way of doing it.
Remote Monitors typically require you to be on a client PC, and requires you to allow the remote access. The client will then connect to the server to transmit your application output. This is usually done over an SSH connection but does not need to be. This is a question of configuration of the application you are using.
“Remote Viewers” typically operate by being on the client PC (unless you require the remote connection to be on a server). These are a client application that connects to the server and receives and sends messages to and from the server. As such they typically require a server application installed on the PC and you usually need to allow the remote connection in the client application first.
Generally speaking, a remote monitor application will transmit information from your client PC to a server. This may be a remote monitor or it could be a cloud service like LogMeIn. However, you need to install the client application on your client PC and allow it to make the remote connection. Then, the client will connect to the server application and request information from it. Then, the server application will transmit your information back to the client.
